Room 12B are learning about economics this term. Today we listened and watched a video about economics, we then did a brief summary on video notes about the video. Here is what economics is...
What is economics? Well first of all there are two facts about everyone that are true doesn't matter who you are. One of them is that humans have unlimited wants. For example Sally wants to have nice clothes, have heaps of money, get a really cool cellphone or even get the . Everyone wants something but the problem is that there isn't enough resources to give to everyone and that's where money comes in. The people who are willing to pay for the goods get them, the more scarce the goods are the higher the price.

Reading: Newspaper
Room 12B have been focusing on Newspapers for term 3 and the start of term 4. We have learnt a lot about the Newspaper and where the articles are. Today I wrote a newspaper article in the year 9023. It has been translated to english so you would understand it.

Reading: Newspaper
This term and last term we have been studying newspapers. One part of the newspaper is the daily comic strip. We designed our own and asked questions like: What is the purpose of a comic strip? Answer: The purpose of comics is to brighten someones day up or inform them on information that is happening around the world/community or country. Sometimes they even make fun of people or an issue (satire).

Pressures on the Earth
Room 12B blew balloons up. Each student got a balloon and the class were asked questions. Such as..
Do you leave the tap running when you brush your teeth?
If you answer the answer, which means you are not caring about the earth then you let a little bit of air in. If it's the opposite you let a little bit out. By the end of the questions your balloon shows how much it has decreased or increased.
What happened to my earth/balloon? The balloon had gotten smaller. What is one thing we could do to change our behaviour? Stop wrapping my lunch in glad wrap.
