On Thursday HNI's leaders gathered into the library to talk and learn about Sir Peter Blake and his red socks. Sir Peter Blake won the America's yachting cup twice and a whole bunch of other races. His wife had given him a pair of red socks which he wore in his races and when the fact was found out, many people wore red socks as a sign of good luck in the races. Sir Peter Blake stopped yachting and decided to help the environment after sailing around the world and seeing how much pollution there was. Sadly on one of his trips he was gunned down by pirates. HNI's leaders also talked about our inner strength and leadership week. We wore red socks today and will wear them tomorrow on red sock day.
Great looking socks Will!
